In Mexican cuisine, carne asada literally means 'grilled meat'. The meat is a very thin flank steak. It can be served whole as a main dish or chopped and used in tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. Carne Asada is the Mexican equivalent of barbecue. I mean that in the party sense of the word. It brings together friends, family, alcohol, & a great time! It's my favorite thing to do in the summer. I really enjoy entertaining and summertime is carne asada time. Actually, anytime is carne asada time! This dish is a very 'social' dish. This is the best marinade for Carne Asada you could possibly try!

4 lbs flank steak or 'ranchera'
1 onion
