Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish. It is made of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce made of mushrooms, onions, and sour cream. It is most commonly served over noodles. However, I personally like it with white rice, or white rice seasoned with parsley and butter. Well, here's my super easy recipe... I learned this recipe from my dad! He's the best cook. He taught me almost everything I know. It takes about 15-20 minutes to make and it's amazing!
Ingredients:
1 lbs beef filet
2 onions, thinly sliced
5 mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1½ cups Harvey's Bristol Sherry wine
4 tablespoons sour cream
Directions:
Fry meat with oil. Once browned, cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
Uncover, add onions mix well.
Add mushrooms and mix well. Sauté for 5 minutes.
Add spices. Stir.
Add sherry and bring to boil, about 2 minutes.
Add sour cream and mix well.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
