Edamame is soy bean in its pod. The word edamame is Japanese and literally means steamed bean. It's a popular side dish or starter at Japanese restaurants all over the world. However, most dishes you get served are steamed edamame topped with coarse sea salt. This recipe is much more flavorful than that and definitely a crowd favorite. This edamame dish is so easy to make. It tastes amazing and it's a great, healthy snack!
Ingredients:
1 lb. bag edamame
¼ stick butter
1 clove garlic
1 cup soy sauce
2 tblspns black or white truffle oil
Directions:
Boil edamame according to directions on bag.
In a separate pot, melt butter.
Add finely minced or squeezed garlic. Let brown a little but not burn.
Add soy sauce and black truffle oil. Mix well and bring to boil, constantly mixing!
Drain edamame in colander and put in bowl.
Pour sauce over it and toss well.
Serve topped with roasted sesame seeds.
